CDCP coverage: The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers a significant portion of denture treatment for eligible patients, typically including full and partial dentures, relines, and repairs. Pre-approval is required and takes 2–4 weeks. Our front desk team submits the pre-approval on your behalf and you’ll know exactly what CDCP covers before treatment begins. Payment plans: We offer in-house payment arrangements with no credit check and no interest. A typical plan is 30% deposit at the start of treatment with the balance divided into monthly payments. If CDCP covers 60%, your deposit and payments are based on your portion only—not the full treatment cost.

Step 1: Free Consultation
You meet Michael Fijolek. He examines your mouth, discusses what you need—full denture, partial, replacement of an existing denture—and explains your options. He answers every question about cost, timeline, and what to expect. You receive a written quote before you leave. No obligation.

Step 2: Impressions
Michael takes precise impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth. For a partial denture, he also records how your teeth fit together so the partial functions correctly when you chew. This appointment takes 30–45 minutes.

Step 3: Try-In
For complete and partial dentures, you return for a try-in appointment. Michael places the teeth in wax so you can see how the denture will look and feel. You approve the fit, the color, and the tooth arrangement before the final denture is fabricated. Adjustments at this stage are quick and easy.

Step 4: Delivery
Michael fits your completed denture. He checks the bite, the fit against your gums, and your speech. He makes any immediate adjustments. You leave with your denture and written care instructions.

Step 5: Adjustment Period
It takes 1–3 weeks to fully adapt to a new denture. You may experience slight soreness or increased saliva during the first week—this is normal. Michael schedules a follow-up adjustment appointment at the two-week mark to address any pressure points or fit issues. All adjustments during this period are included in your original cost.

Step 6: Annual Check
Dentures don’t last forever. Gums change shape over time, and denture teeth wear. Michael recommends an annual check to assess fit and function. A reline every 2–4 years keeps your denture fitting well as your gums change.

5. You decide whether to proceed. There is no pressure.

How long does it take to get used to a new denture?

Most patients adapt within 1–3 weeks. The first week involves increased saliva production and a sensation of fullness in the mouth—both normal. Speech returns to normal within a few days of practice (reading aloud helps). Eating soft foods and gradually progressing to firmer foods over two weeks allows your gums to adjust comfortably. If soreness persists beyond the first two weeks, Michael adjusts the denture at no charge.

Will my denture look natural?

Yes. Michael matches denture teeth to your facial structure, age, and gender. The teeth have subtle color variation and translucency—they don’t look like a solid white strip. The base is tinted to match your gum tissue. Most people you interact with daily will not know you’re wearing a denture unless you tell them.

What if my denture breaks or I need an adjustment?
